OptiGroup signs binding agreement for the sale of Papyrus paper distribution activities in Eastern Europe, Switzerland and Germany to Antalis

OptiGroup has signed a binding agreement for the sale of its Central and Eastern European paper distribution business to Antalis, a global leader in the distribution of Papers, Packaging and Visual Communication, part of KPP Group. Antalis intends to strengthen its presence and distribution capabilities across Central and Eastern Europe by combining the business with its subsidiaries in Switzerland, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Papyrus and Scaldia operations in Benelux, Scandinavia and Finland remain within OptiGroup and continue to be a part of OptiGroup Nordics and Western Europe respectively. They maintain their leading position as a service and solutions provider with a strong reputation for their products, brands and services.

The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions. Until completion, both companies will continue to operate independently. For you as our customer, this means that for now nothing changes in your daily cooperation with us. 

After closing, a transition period of approximately 12 months will begin. During this time, our clear priority is to ensure a smooth transition, reliable service and continued support for you including new opportunities of the combined businesses. Your familiar contact persons will remain available to support you, your existing contract will stay in place, you will continue to be able to purchase the brands you know and trust, and we will keep providing our services with the same dedication and care as before.
